I use Boots soap flakes: http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-soap-flakes-425g_923904/
I mainly use it for technical fabrics like Gortex as they shouldn't be washed in normal detergents but also for hand knitted things. If it's to save money, then I'd have thought it would be cheaper to buy cheap own-brand stuff - Morrison's liquid was only £1.50 a bottle this week and it's pretty good.0 -
Remember that soap flakes must be dissolved (at least into a gel like texture they don't have to be liquid) before they are added to the machine or they can block the pipes & it is a real pain clearing them to get the machine working again.0
