Real life MMD: Should I buy glasses from my friend?
Comments

I had an eye test with my local optician in the village. It was a bit pricy but I thought I was supporting a local business. I was not given a prescription and, when I returned to ask for one, was told that it would be taken care of when I purchased some specs. Because they looked very pricy and the choice was limited, I simply left it. To this day I do not have a prescription. I would suggest that the big businesses at least have to operate to a transparent code of conduct. Thank you Money Saving Expert for letting me know that Tesco do free eyes tests.
I suggest the writer's optician friend might be a bit of an intimidating optician if they make them feel nervous about not buying from them. My local optician made me feel a bit like that.0 -
