Refund wanted for unwanted coach journey

I have booked tickets for a future coach journey through Terravision to an airport. The circumstances have now changed and I want to cancel the tickets and get a refund. The trip isn't until March next year. I booked online. Am I entitled to a refund?

What do Terravision's T&Cs say? I suspect it's no refunds
  • I've had a look through but I can't find anything. On bit I quote says "4.3. SEAT RESERVATIONS. Passengers who wish to reserve a seat on a specific trip must reserve the seat prior to the requested departure date. Seat reservations are subject to availability on single trips. Any seat can be reserved on Terravision buses. Passengers may cancel or change their reservations by notifying Terravision prior to the departure date indicated on the ticket. Passengers are required to pay a fee to change reservations. For further information, please see the conditions published at xxx.terravision.eu."

They say they won't refund because it's not their fault.

If it's not in their T&Cs they have no obligation to provide a refund

Do you have travel insurance that may cover the cost?

There's nothing in their T&Cs that would say you're entitled to a refund. They're low-cost for a reason - it's a bit like the Travelodge sale rooms being non-refundable. You're not entitled to anything from them in this situation, and unless you have insurance and a good reason to cancel you're unlikely to get anything I'm afraid
