As simple as it gets really, I am looking for a new car and wan't to know what are currently the cheapest car's to insure.
I am still a provisional driver (Age 30) I have been driving a couple of years but I need is a new car for learning in although I do wan't to keep the car afterwords.
Just recently I sold my Ford KA W reg because it needed some work for MOT which I can not afford, Insurance was £75 per month. Anything below that would be great.

They are all different. You need to play about with a comparison website such as moneysupermarket and just try all the cars you would have an interest in.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

The cheapest way to buy insurance is in one go on an annual policy. Paying monthly means you add on interest of around 24%APR on to the amount.
In regards to the cheapest car to ensure it depends on where you live and what you do for a living.
One thing that helps if you are married, have a partner or have a couple of relations who are born in the UK who have had no accidents in the past 3-5 years and have no points on their licence then put them on the policy as named drivers.
Also if you have a garage or a drive it may be cheaper to put that you park it on the street and do so.
I suggest you put some cars with small engines or that are estate cars into price comparison sites with fake details (making sure they don't send the neighbours junk mail) to see rough prices.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
