Virgin Media Problem

I would contact them directly but if you're doing it from your mobile, google justsaynoto0870numbers website and pop in VM - it'll come up with a few numbers but track down Customer Services through that and it should take you to the Options Menu. VM don't answer emails, nor letters (ours was a heavy complaint and just brushed aside despite having acknowledgement of receipt!) so you're better off getting your account number and calling.
Make sure you don't have a contract as all you need then is to give them 30 days' notice and go to someone else. It's plenty of time to sort out an engineer to sort the problem and stop billing you for things you can't use!!0 -

Thanks. I'm a bit happier now that I've had a response from Neil Berkett's Pa's Pa, even if it is just to say someone will look into it and will get back to me.
If that fails, I will try as you say with the saynoto0870 but credit on a mobile doesn't seem to go far these days and I'd prefer to have my efforts on a paper/email trail.0 -
I'm also currently wondering whether to cancel my direct debit to Virgin Media but don't know if this will get me in more trouble than it's worth.0

don't cancel the DD, the money needs to be paid, you might get it off a later month but they will see you right, cancelling a DD will only go against your credit rating, it won'tbenefit you in any other way0
