Vent: IKEA Delivery

Recently had a home order delivery from IKEA. Spoke to the driver in the morning, he said he was coming in half an hour. Asked for the afternoon, he said that was okay. No word after that, no delivery!
It's not IKEA's fault, it's my fault really for not being in in the morning. Now we have to re order it all, as IKEA has placed all the items back on their shelves! So we either wait a week for IKEA to redeliver, or go back to the store and collect it all from the shelves again.....
argh! What a pain....

possibly gone down as a refused delivery.
The driver had you down as one of his first drops, you said you wanted it delivering a few hours later. Your drop was timed as part of his route and at the time when you wanted it, he was probably at the other side of the county and had no intention of driving xx miles to drop yours off and then back to do the others and finishing an hour / two hours later than he should.0 -
Yea, I agree with you - it's just frustrating that they then went and put it all back into stock! I've already paid for those items, so how can they just restock them like that!? I just want my new bed0

Technically, they don't. After buying your goods, you queue in an additional line, which is for home delivery. This appears to be IKEA still,m however further research reveals that it is an external contractor whom have an awful reputation (online anyhow!). So when we went to the store today, we were actually told that the goods had been delivered and that we were wrong! Obviosuly, the goods hadnt been delivered. Eventually we got them0
