To remove shower tray (approx 6' x 2') and 6' glass screen also remove tiles from walls (1 full length and 2 widths) refit existing shower tray/screen but replace tiles with waterproof shower/wall panels. have been quoted £1200. does this seem ok? he reckons he can do it all in a day.

You need to say where you are so as to guage labour costs. Then if you could also specify which make of panel is to be used, a more informed reply could be worked out. Sorry if this seems unhelpful, but morre info is needed.
Sorry just noticed your in Stockport. So days labour shouldn't be more than £200 for one bloke.0
