Which would those be? The post numbers are next to them - #1, #2, etc. Please tell me.

(or is that a 'smart comment' too?)

I was looking for more than one or two opinions, and yes, that was a smart comment yet again.

It appears it is his norm, unfortunately. Silly boy.

Yeah, I'm making a shortlist just now - weighing up each of them then I'll need to make a decision soon, as the house is ready to go on the market.

I did call emoov - and they picked up within 2 rings which was pretty quick. They seemed very professional and polite, the only thing that rang the odd alarm bell was that they didn't seem very up to speed with the Scottish market, as things are different up here.

    Cheers WG.:)
  • I've just sold a house with an online agent. The house was marketed at the start of July and we exchanged on Monday and are completing tomorrow. I wouldn't hesitate to use HN again.

Well done on exchange and your completion tomorrow.

I am well impressed with HN.

OP, Scottish House Move are also listed and you get free Rightmove upgrade.

OK I hadn't considered you were in Scotland.

I've been back to look at the directory http://www.cheapmove.co.uk/online-estate-agents-comparison

The only one for sure listed was Homes Sale Online as they only cover Scotland. They are based in Glasgow.

Let us know what you find.

It's ok, folk often forget there is anything north of the watford gap.

I'm not bothered about the location of the agent, as I don't think it's important, as long as they are conversant with the conveyancing practice up here.

Good luck with finding an English solicitor who'll deal with your Scottish house sale.

Out of interest, whereabouts (generally) are you in Scotland? City? Rural? Highlands & Islands?

There are a handful of dual-jurisdiction firms around [no, I don't know any; try SRA website?]

Oh, you're back with more useless info.

The EA I pick won't be doing the actual conveyancing of course, I have already appointed a Solicitor to attend to that - for £150 + paperwork.

    OP,

Which online EA did you choose?

What was your criteria and how did you find them?
