HELP!! - BT gone wrong?

Options
I have a tesco credit card with a £5500 limit and have just asked barclaycard to BT £10000 to it.
Today I checked and had to phone tesco who say they need to check with barclaycard.

I was going to use the surplus to pay off another card further down the line.
I was hoping the surplus would go into my bank account, but it has not yet - as the guy on the phone said he will call barclays and call me back - to check where the money came from.
What is the worst that can happen?

You mean from it? If I understand your situation correctly Barclaycard would be taking on the balance from Tesco.

Tesco could return the whole £10K back to Barclaycard, meaning you've paid circa £300 for nothing!

There may have been a better way to approach it. Is there an actual debt on the Tesco card or is it empty?

Just had a call from Tesco's.
Said that the block will be removed from the credit card and tomorrow I should be able to move the money where I want to - including a bank account,

Looks like they just wanted to confirm the source of the £10k

I have to phone tomorrow to request the transfer from tesco.
I'll ask if there is a fee, but would they charge a fee to transfer a positive balance?

I have called them and they said to transfer to my bank account would have incurred a fee of £25.
OR they can send a cheque for no charge.

I told them to send a cheque for the "surplus" which is £4840.01.

    So alls good. :money:
