The admin cost and when they do come back to the UK for their fortnights holiday in the summer, they use the bus pass system - well my relatives and their friends do anyway and then they congratulate each other over jugs of cheap sangria round the pool about how much they take out of the UK!! They all hop back over to fleece the NHS too whenever anything goes wrong. Am I being a diddy and thinking of something different - I think I'm talking about the local bus system!
Well that particular bunch are actually claiming the pass by fraud (false address in the UK needed to get it) rather than entitlement0 -
It will be interesting to see what replacement deal NE themselves come up with.
Recently they had a £9 return anywhere offer if you were over 60 and £18 return for anyone else.
The government are picking easy targets for cut backs and are being rather short-sighted.
People travel
people spend, which is what they want them to do.
If there`s no incentive to make the effort then people stay at home and don`t spend.
NE coach travel will remain free in Scotland where it always has been.
Amazing really, Alex Salmond gets his money from Cameron and gives the Scots everything for free and then has the gall to charge anyone from England university fees.
Mind you, you`ve got to admire the man for looking after "his own", unlike our lot who would rather look after everyone except their own.0 -
