Hi! Have never joined in before but after reading a few days of these I've become inspired! Today I have so far:
Checked bank balances online - good job to as there was a DD coming out today that OH had forgotton about so I will put cash in the account at lunchtime and check with bank staff to see if the DD will be OK today. Fingers crossed but nothing more I can do on that score !
Looked through kitchen cupboards this morning before work and realised I actually have enough food in there to last until the weekend so no big shop needed this week! Just as well, last week before payday!
Set the boiler so it only heats water up every other day - it gets so hot we can still shower with warm water on the second day!
Gone to work!
Thanks for the inspiring ideas!0 -
Hi Guys,
I've got to take my 3 DD's Back2School shopping today. They went through their old pencil cases and school bags to see if they can reuse anything but still have each come up with an A4 list! I have guesstimated for everything coming in at the region of over £300:eek:. So my aim by the end of the day is to clearly NOT spend that amount however, I know that the M&S Blazer, school shoes and trainers will make up easily half of today's spend. But at least they'll last the whole school year. I am going to both M&S and Clarke's local outlet stores so I'm praying that they have everything in their sizes, then it's Wilco's for colouring pens/pencils ... then it's Mr A's for school shirts/tights ... and one exhaused Mummy at the end of the day! My OH is dreading today, I don't know WHY?, he's gone to work ... :rotfl:...
Will check in later today where hopefully I'll be :j and not ,

Have you thought about asking the school if they have a nearly new clothes shop? I brought blazers from there at a snip - to be fair they try to wear them as little as possible! Hths xDF as at 30/12/16

well I havent done many DFW things today, however, I have used lots of vouchers in tescos - i've used 2 x £5 vouchers, a £2.10 voucher from the coinstar, £1.50 clubcard voucher and £5 clothing voucher. I also found a king size duvet set on sale for £4.50 and bought 7 x 24p playdoh sets to put away for pressies, so although i've spent a lot today, i've also saved just as much - does that count on a DFW day?!!Nov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails
