Advice on training grant

Bump, still searching for work. I have now applied for well over 60 jobs. I either seem to be over qualified as i have a degree, or under-qualified as i have no experience.
I am at the end of my tether currently, and making myself Ill, as i just need a job to cover the bills. I am now considering looking into HGV driving / Driving jobs as someone previously suggested, as its more a case of getting money in the bank currently.
Can anyone give me some advice, three months on and still stuck in front of a brick wallMember #120 £2012 in 2012 - £297.74/£2012 14.79%

Im not the most hands on of people, the only reason I was thinking electrician was to combine a little bit of my IT knowledge where possible into a trade, along with my sights set on property development. It could save me money in the long run.
However, at the moment, its just a matter of wanting to get back into work. I do enjoy driving as i've said before, I did look into driving instructor training, but it seems to be more of a waste of the free 2k training grant, for silly hours, for not alot of money.
The LGV/HGV driving does seem a possibility, but i've read alot of threads stating that there is a minimum 2yrs experience to overcome!
If only life was simple, I go to sleep every night thinking tomorrow is a new day. Got to keep positive

I think there are several things here. One is simply finding a job to get some money in and the other is finding a career that you'd really like to do in the future. The first requires persistence, flexibility and alot of targeted application writing and letting people know that you are looking for a job, which I expect you are already doing. The second needs some research. You have already mentioned many different things you might be interested in, but have you actually done the research to find out more about their careers? Have you talked to any electricians or surveyors or estate agents and found out how they trained and what a typical day is like? A book I recommend for clarifying your thoughts is 'Wishcraft' by Barbara Sher which is great for career changers and very practical. Good luck!0
