Yeah, it's a nice place. The houses usually have a premium on them.
They've just had an agricultural show at the weekend which attracted 14,000 people, they have a couple of supermarkets, railway station (soon to be linked to London), library, cricket pitch/park in the centre etc.
Schools - it depends on Secondary or Primary. Secondary - Castle Hall and Mirfield Free Grammar (MFG).
I grew up there and live in nearby Dewsbury. My parents still live there. PM me if you have more questions.0 -
Have a ride around the adjacent areas first, such as ravenscliffe / Dewsbury.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Mirfield is a lovely place to live - I spent the first 18 years of my life there, and most of my family still live in and around the area
plenty of schools, both primary and secondary, nearby towns such as dewsbury and heckmondwike are also nice, there is also heckmondwike grammar school which always does really well in exam results etc0 -
mirfield is great. some of the areas nearby, ie ravensthorpe arent great, but mirfield is seen as a nice place to live, great community and all the resources you need, also near hopton for countryside and nice pubs0

Not too far away from Mirfield.
Very nice place to live, just avoid London Park estate and you should be fine.Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.0
