Can someone help me out of a spot.
My neighbour has asked me to advise him which klappy is best for his £300.
He is 70 yrs old and not verytech savvy (Why else would he ask me???)
The models he is looking at are the following

Or are there any better machines around?

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

For an old bloke, I don't think it really matters. They are more likely to treat it with kid gloves. I would try to find one that doesn't have a glossy screen finish though.0

Convinced he wants a Acer then !!!???
Of course it depends on what your friend is going to use it for.
High end gaming is a must of course but I have my doubts if that would be his thing.
Assuming that he may just want to Skype or email family and friends near and far then a basic netbook will be fine. As long as the keyboard is clear and the monitor large enough too use for pictures and video.
The more important bit is,his net access and its speed.
He may prefer an ipad. Not as daft as you might think. With the ipad 2 he can still video Skype, email, surf games all without having to get up from the chair. He could use it to read newspapers, ebooks etc etc.0 -
