critical illness cover advise?

i am moving house within the next week,
i will be canceling my current policy,
i will need to new one for my new house,
i am 31 my wife is 29 and we have two children 2 and 6 months.
neither of us smoke, and we are in very good health,
can anyone advise on critical illness covers plan which my incorperate a loss of earnings plan?

    That isnt what critical illness does. Permanent Health Insurance covers loss of earnings for illness.

    Underwriting on PHI typically takes a few weeks so you are leaving it tight. Even on CI, you would have to use an electronic underwriter and have good health to get covered inside a week. A paper application or manual underwriting could take 3 weeks.

    Does the current policy have options to increase cover on house purchase?

    some insurers offer so called 'menu' plans which mean you can include elements of Ci and PHi in one plan and only pay one direct debit, on eplan no. etc. This would seem a good way to go to make savings however better cover at a cheaper cost is often available by taking out separate plans with different insurers as the ones that are good at CI dont necessarily offer th ebest PHI and vice/versa
