    Hi,
do the big thrill rides as early as possible. Most if not all rides ate done during rain. Avoid food places at peak time and eaither wear macs to protect you from getting wet on the water rides or go on them when its sunny so you can try off. Wear comfy shoes- skyride is put of bounds.

We always take a picnic, but just carry it around with us. We take a rucksack but you see lots of people with those wheelie cool bags. We then have a burger king about 6pm and then get on a few last minute rides! It's not the park that closes at 7, it's the queue for the rides so aim to get in a queue by 7. We got there about 10.30 on Sunday, and the queues to get in were big, it was actually about 11.30 by the time we got into the park itself ( monorail to entrance, then queue for tickets, then get through barrier) The queues weren't too bad for the actual rides though, most were 20 minutes or less ( although hubby waited 40 minutes for Rita at about 2.30pm) We walked straight onto a few, got on everything we wanted to go on, and quite a few of them we went on twice. If you're going on the rapids they don't open till 11 so if you get there for then the seats will still be dry!

It's £6 to park. What ages are you all, what type of rides do you like? People could then maybe tell you which rides are most suitable?

Apologies if this is no longer valid - the website seems to say it still is.
It's not just the multi packs.
I've just bought some packs of hula hoops at the corner shop, didn't notice the offer 'till I got home, I had to run up and get some more of course!
42p price marked packs aswell, what a bargain!! Well cheaper than booking family tickets online too! :money:
I hope you haven't got yours already

  • As for tips on the day, it depends who's going. I'm guessing you'll have kids, if so wet wipes are a good idea, mabey a change of underwear (mabey for you too, those rides can get scary!)
If you're going on the water rides then think about waterproofing, or go on them early and dry off on something fast.

Also, get there as early as possible, school holidays are a nightmare for queues.

  • Thanks for all the info, there is 2 adults, 5 year old and 2 x 14 year olds have got some good vouchers from raring2go and bogof's so should be covered either way :-)
  • The 5 year old will like Charlie, the 14 year olds probably won't! It always has a big queue as not many people get on at a time, as opposed to something like the mine train, so it might be worth your while one adult queueing for that while the others go on a bigger ride ( nearest one is Rita)
  • Buy tickets online and then you get in at 9am instead of 10
Get to the monorail station about 8.30am and you'll be first there and be able to park right beside the station
Do Nemesis, Air, Rita, Thirteen and Oblivion first between 9am and 10am
Don't eat in the KFC or Burger King. Vile and over-priced.
Do eat in the all you can eat pasta pizza buffet beside the Runaway Mine Train which is good value
Buy a refillable cup for £6 and if you don't mind sharing, the whole family can use it at all of the outlets. You just go up to the dispensers and skoosh a cupfull.
Don't bother with priority passes unless you must ride together. Go for the single rider queue which is just as quick and free!
