    For 50 euros it may be cheaper to buy it at the post office before you go.

    I have always found that you get a better exchange rate using an ATM than getting cash from a post office.

    Indeed you do.

    But you also get a handling charge at an ATM, you don't at the post office,
    I took out 100 euro with the nationwide at a good rate a week ago, but it cost another 1.74 commision fee, then another £1 cash withdrawal fee.
    £90 in all.
    It'll be a worse rate for 50 euros, as it's a flat fee.
