Karma must be smiling on me - no sooner had I sent my reservation at oxford street off than I got a text to say that my other reservation close to home (before anyone jumps on me I reserved 1 for me & 1 for my dad) which I thought wouldn't come off due to the 1 per customer thing (used same email & phone #) was ready for collection.

As I said before I figured I don't really NEED one so i collected this one for my dad (who had his laptop stolen a few weeks ago from the living room whilst he was in the drive packing the car for a weekend away:mad:).

Only thing is I now have to sit here with it unopened before me until I speak to him tonight in case he says he doesn't want it (he's a bit of a technophobe so may just want a laptop same as before) and then I'll have to offload it elsewhere - but its calling to me to open it!

If my dad does want it I guess I'll need to set it up for him - so that should be fun playing with it - but I really don't know much about them - does it need an antivirus programme and can anyone recommend a good one for it?

Has anyone had a dispatch email from amazon as yet? Ive just checked again but nothing! Fingers crossed as no news is good news as they saying goes!

checked amazon around 1pm was still awaiting dispatch and after seeing this checked and my order had gone.
checked email and apparntly theyve cancelled the order as teh product is discontinued

Very very disappointed - just had a cancellation email from Amazon stating the product is now discontinued. :(:(
