Just been in local Orange shop and they are running a deal called "Perks" for council and NHS employees

£20 off any PAYG phones
25% off phone accessories

just take in proof of ID and your wage slip!

Came out with one happy daughter today :)

Wouldn't be so bad if all their contracts weren't massively overpriced (£25 PCM for 300 Minutes and a LG Optimus Black? Pfft) and their home broadband wasn't worse than Dialup

But thanks for the tip :o I wonder if it's transferrable, would happily give the discount to my mother - though I'd sooner help her switch to a better value provider...
    Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

sorry meant to say you can transfer/give your discount to up to 5 people as long as you go in with them and you take your wage slip so friends and family may thank you for this

Orange's contracts are terrible value for money, but the discount is useful on PAYG handsets that can be unlocked and used on cheaper networks.
  • You can get cashback on orange phones example over £150 payg phone £30 oe less than £149.99 £12.00

  • We get this discount too - Any company that uses Orange for their business mobiles can get the offer - I think the poster said 4 or 5 family members can get the same deals too.

I have had a contract with orange for a long time and have just read this post about council workers recieveing a discount. I am a teaching assistant in a local school and have been in my job for 6 years now and never recieved a discount as i wasnt aware you could recieve one. Do you think that orange will give me any discount?

    Thanks

In a word no! It's for new contracts taken out and you have to apply in store for it - The 25% offer finishes on the 31st and then it reverts to the usual 10% off
