Hi
MY son bought an ADVENT laptop from Currys.
Recently he put a USB lead in the USB slot to connect up his external harddrive, When he removed the USB lead from the laptop the innards of the laptop came out with the lead.
I advised him to go to Currys to get it fixed
Currys have stated that the manufacturer have told them it is not covered by his warranty and that there is nothing they will do
I need some advise please

Heh, in all seriousness though, go to PcWorld for anything technical related. Or phone Knowhow and they'll send out a KnowHow guy to pick it up and repair it.
(Or if its under a month old they'll swap it over)0 -
He bought it 4 months ago and the bits that came out was the whole USB port section which I believe has the sound ports etc0

In which case they have to prove this was NOT an inherent fault (a fault that existed at the time of sale) - i.e. it is their responsibility to make good. (Older than 6 months then it's your responsibility to prove it WAS an inherent fault).
Follow CHC's advice above.
