Report it to the police. Advise the call handler that there are CCTV cameras at the park and you believe it was a Black Zafira. Provide a good description of where you were parked in case there are several camera locations.

BUT be quick about reporting as some businesses only keep CCTV for a very short time.

No CCTV means no evidence and therefore the police are unfortunately unlikely to be able to do anything about it. However, if you don't report it you'll never know, it should only take a few minutes to do.

All I wanted to do was warn others about leaving their cars there, as it takes several hours to visit, and you are leaving your car unattended, for it to be damaged or robbed and Howletts will accept no liability or even give a proper apology. The damage to our car is done and I'll have to find the money to fix it somehow, but I don't want others to get theirs damaged if I could warn them against it.
Stop being such a drama queen. No place you visit will accept responsibility to what happens in the car park so Howletts isnt alone in that. If you fear all the things you say i'd e amazed if you ever visit anywhere ever again as you will be to scared to park. Thats what you have insurance for when accidents like this happen. Reort it to the police claim on your insurance get on with your life and stop blaming Howletts for some Numpty driver they had no control over.

  • but thanks to the other poster for the heads up on the 'ticket lasts a year' thing. I visited a couple of years ago and really liked it, I'm looking for somewhere to take the stepsons this week and it's even better if we can pop back at other times.

...and I won't be feeling hysterical about someone dinging my car. For goodness sake OP, it's not like one of their rhinos escaped and squished it. why should they apologise for another visitors' driving? Contact the police and your insurers.

Just reminded me of something !

Took this back in June at Howletts - this cretin was at the Tiger enclosure .....................

I suppose he would have complained if the Tiger had eaten him :D

    Xmas Saver!
Next time why not use public transport?

If it were easier to get to I would! (And if I wasn't travelling with a 4 year old and 9mth old with tons of medication!)

Well, I'll just put it down to one of those things, my insurance excess is more than it'll cost to fix so won't be claiming off them.

Now, I just need to stop my 4 year old asking "has mummy's car been hit again" every time I take her out and we return to the car ;)
:j Is MSE saving me money, or making me spend more on all the bargains?!:j

PS: that wasn't you in the photo was it ? :D
