    Just in case anyone is unfamiliar with property prices in Bristol...someone on £14k would struggle to afford a grotty room in shared accommodation, never mind buy a flat. One reason it is so expensive is because people want to live near the centre. And the reason they want to live near the centre is because commuting into the city by whatever means is slow and expensive. So no doubt the OP had little choice but to look for another job. Regrettably, I agree with others that there is little the OP can do to prevent the company reclaiming training costs.
