Acorn Stairlifts

My mother in law had a stairlift fitted last month by Acorn - we have looked at the lift and cannot see how they were able to justify the £3500 for a straight stairlift. Its outside of the 2 week refund period and now my mil has passed away (she only got 1 weeks use).
Does anyone know if this was a fair price? The lift does have a raising mechanism on the rail (which we were told added another £1000.
Acorn will happily charge £30 to advertise the lift for sale and have advised the sale price should be £1000 - they will add £400 to the price and charge another customer for a reconditioned lift (if someone answers the advert) To charge £3600 and then 1 month later say its worth £1000 seems wrong.
Not sure what the other options are.

Comments

  • I have since spoken again with acorn and they have rectified the problem, the pricing was correct however the lift was virtually new.
Some excellent customer service in my second communications
