Wood Bleach

Hi All,

I have six dining table chairs that I want to refurbish. They are quite old (and knocked about) and the plan is that having stripped them of varnish (now done) I use a wood bleach to lighten them prior to applying some form of clear finish. They are solid beach - stained dark brown.

Any thoughts on the most reliable chemical to bring them to a uniform light colour?

This stuff appears to be the way forward (link below) but since I have never used it, it would be great to get a second opinion!
