    OK, it was with Northern Rock and the broker was Mortgage Advice Services. They are telling me I have no chance as it was longer than 6 years ago. I am pretty upset about this and I don't know what to do.

    Assuming you mean Mortgage Advice Services of 16 St Christopher's Way, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8JG, I am afraid it no longer exists - it was dissolved on 17 August 2010.

    I believe, too, that it used an insurer based in the Isle of Man and beyond the reach of FOS.

    Still in Derby. Had my details on their computers... So confused now!
