Electric central heating - any suggestions/ideas/recommendations?

I've been Money Tipped!
I am tired at the hassle and expense of obtaining gas safety certificates for a property I own.

In any case, the property is an older one and I suspect that gas is not the safest thing to have there, safety certs or not. Also, it does not have a CH system at the moment and I have promised to install this by the winter.

I propose going all-electric and getting rid of the problem completely, as I suspect landlords often do.

This is a fairly compact, two bedroom flat.

Can anyone recommend an electric-based system which would not cost too much to install or (from the tenant's viewpoint) to run?

Having rented a flat (due to work) for some years, most landlords do go for electric. Sometimes they install night storage heaters, which are okay. Modern ones are quite small, but it depends on the insulation of the flat/house. For a poorly insulated one it can get quite cold in deepest winter. Using a fan heater is an appalling solution.

I have electric everything in my current flat. The flat is purpose built, well insulated so generally warm.

The first thing we did was get rid of the huge tank and boiler, and we fitted the multipoint electric water heater -heats the water up instantly, it's a bit like a gas combi boiler but tiny. No need to service it, they are all generally German made so good quality. Nicely hidden in the cupboard used for a tank and cylinder and now I have loads of storage there as well. Not the cheapest to install but less that gas boiler. I think we paid about £300 for it some time ago, plus installation.
Bedrooms have panel heaters that we never use.
Lounge has a new storage heater that is thermostatic so always keeps it nice and toasty. So yeah we pretty much only use that heater in the lounge.
