  • Strong words! I think you misunderstand their ethical policies.

'In other words , if you have anything invested with Smile , they appear to be as unethical as every other bank , yet claim differently . ie they're liars .'

Smile has a policy of ethical investment. I don't think that's relevant to your argument, ergo your 'liars' comment is a bit out of place.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Quote from their "Ethics and Smile" page :

"Its beliefs are as relevant now as they were then - the idea of people working together to get a fairer deal, for themselves and for everyone else. We still believe in this idea and see the Internet as the perfect vehicle for taking it on. That's why we built smile."

If you think rushing to put a cheque into the Christmas mail is "working together to get a fairer deal" then fine . Personally I don't and think they are liars .

Anyway , if anyone has any more experiences relating to the time it takes to get a Smile ISA transferred I'd appreciate hearing from you .

    Thank you in advance .
  • For info .

Oh well , Smile just offered me £30 for lost interest which is about right .
