Problems with uploading pics from SE W800i phone to pc

Hi
Hope someone can help me out here - I am pretty incompetent and ignorant as to workings of mobiles/pc etc so please don't confuse me with tech terms!
Anyway, I tried to get the photos and video clips on my phone onto my pc but when I clicked on 1 pic they all disappeared! Now I can't see them at all!
Am a bit upset as these are pics of my kids xmas plays etc!
Anyone know why/how they can have just disappeared like that and can I find them again?
This is the second disaster with my camera phone pics - the first time I tried to get the pics, they somehow got corrupted and now appear as nos but no pics! Well out of about 90 I have 6 at the beginning of folder and that is it
Any ideas anyone?
All I did was click (or maybe double click) on a pic - honest!:o
