Thanks for your kind words. I know the journey will sometimes be tough but its better than the worry of the bills piling up on the doormat. At least now, we are in control of our debt.

you are right,it may get bumpy,times when you miss things plastic bought ( but oh the bliss of no January stomach cringing cc bills), BUT to not be afraid of the phone or the postman,to be able to cook with a window open instead of being feared to death of bailiffs appearing to take your things,nothing can compare to that.

enjoy this happy feeling. keep that emergency fund going now. we enjoy £5 carvery tea as a treat now&then.

plan ahead for Christmas if you can,we're saving on a savings card for xmas treats already.hubby likes a certain beer that's only in one supermarket so i'm buying the odd £1.00 stamp for him,up to £12 now!
