Morgage PPi

Hi
Lloyds added ppi onto my mortgage without telling me it was optional. I was told I needed to have it. I was never given a policy document or statement and I was under the impression it was just part of the mortgage and it was not optional. So yes you can claim mortgage ppi back as long as it was genuinely mis-sold. They also added a £1205 on my mortgage for the ppi as a 1 off payment then took monthly payments off me. I am due approx £3.5k back from lloyds.0 -

No you cannot. You can put a complaint in and they will look at it and decide to reject or uphold it. You cannot claim it back though. You are reliant on your complaint being upheld to get it back.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Ok, I said claim when I should have put complained. Either way my answer was to let the original poster know you are able to try and get mortgage ppi back if it was genuinely mis-sold, which mine was.0

Fine but there is nothing at all to suggest the OP was 'mis-sold' - more that they're just trying to cash in on the bandwagon0 -

This makes no sense, Lloyds' mortgage PPI was monthly. If your complaint was upheld, it was certainly due to another reason and not what you stated above.0 -

Thats a very good point. All version of the Lloyds mortgages over the year have had MPPI on a monthly premium basis.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
