fake cd in morrisons

Options
i bought a supremes cd in morrisons for £1 for christmas with all their hits, supremes on the cover and inlay card.
ive found out it is a cover artist performing their songs.
all i can see is 'newsounds 2000' printed as well as the song titles, no mention of it not being the authentic artists.

where do i stand legally (and where do morrisons)?
do you think its fair i ask for another (authentic) cd?
Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.

You were not mislead, I assume it was titled something like "Songs of...."

What were you really expecting for £1? And is it even worth you asking where you and Morrisions stand legally?!? It's £1, what are you? American?

Hey, that's a bit unfair aj, A rip off is still a rip off whether it cost a penny, a pound or a hundred pounds.
If you genuinely think you were misled danniss (and it sounds as if you were), just take it back and get a refund. I shouldn't think you will have an arguement from them.

What was the exact title on the cover?

Also you'll probably get a refund.

If you need to ask that questions, Im sure I can get a few hundred CDs to sell you. Just don't come back to me for a refund when you find they are all rubbish becasue I'll make it too expensive for you.

Course not! If you have been ripped off then take action. If you don't then you are justifying rip offs by inaction.

    Good luck.

£1 is not much but it is the principle. it was a last minute present to a motown fan(i didnt even buy it - it was a relative who shops there all the time who said there were some reduced cds).

i feel like i let a friend down so it is more than just the money. nobody would like it if you didn't know that what you were getting was a fake. if you think £1 is trivial and not worth the legal bother, then i wonder how morisons would feel if i annouced loudly in the shop that morrisons are selling fake cds just like on car boot sales and ebay. also, what about all the other people duped? i have bought legitimate cds for £1 before. an assurance from buying cds from a supermarket is that at least they will be genuine.

by the way, i haven't took it back yet ( i know i'll get "oh, you're the first person to complain...") .
