House sold, not a new build, so have we extinguished all liability? I am a paranoid worrier! They had a surveyor of course and all documents long passed over.
Can I get any come back for anything?

Probably best discussed in the context of your earlier thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3436703
It does not help to keep spawning new threads for discussion of different aspects of the same issue.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Not that I know of? What can I lie about? They view, buy, re-view, measure, view, ask, view, move in.
It is a solid house, everything checks out as their surveyor said. Its just how they have been of late makes me worry about any/all angles.0 -

Advice? Do as you please and have the courage of your own convictions, because tailoring the presentation of your story to get support for your own preconceptions is a waste of everyones' timeHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. That is not what I am doing at all, far from it. No point in advice unless the story is true but then the author has to be guarded.
But you still feel the need to "waste time" on it.
Thanks for your input, it is appreciated.0 -
Can't be bothered to read the other thread. OP has left me wondering "why, what have you hidden?"
They can come after you for misrepresentation if you have knowingly kept something from them when they were specifically asking about it.0 -
Me too.
My first reaction was to ask for more info as advising on the basis of the first post is non sensical.
Then read there is a history - and the OP denies it is relevant when clearly it is.
But I too can't be bothered.
Had the query been tagged onto the previous story, giving full story in one plcae, yes.
Bye.
edit: relevant info here.0 -
Hey it must be my fault, sorry for that. I think the other thread got me thinking and worrying and worrying etc so I started to second guess myself, hence the question.
There is no history and nothing "left out" or going on. Usually these things are put to bed by an Estate Agent aren't they. Nothing more going on here than me worrying that a "nice and friendly" person changed on signing a contract and now I feel somewhat vulnerable - that is all.
Thanks for your time and I am sorry I caused such a fuss. If there were a "delete all" I would.0 -
Looks to me like you've been an accomplice in Mortgage Fraud, so yes, I would imagine there is some comeback on you, certainly from a criminal point of view. As for whether the buyer can do much about it is debatable, as to take legal action they would have to admit to defauding their mortgage company, which I would imagine is quite unlikely.0
