Wouldn't design life be the amount of time before they update the model for a new one ?0

That's the thought that sprang to mind - it certainly doesn't mean the actual useful / functional life of the car - "design" life is something else indeed - probably the average time that a particular model is in production, which seems about right.....like BMW X5 E53 models - 2001-2007, loads of other models similar - a HUGE difference to the "life" of a car, though, isn't it? Oldest one in our family still used as a daily runner is 16 years old and still going strong

That's about the rub of it. Draw a line and move on else you will just become ill and stressed in trying to pursue something that is quite frankly, unpursueable (not even sure if that's a word!).jonesMUFCforever wrote: »You bought a 9 year old car with high mileage that is now out of warranty.0 -
