Hello
I need some advice for someone who has contacted me. They have Learning Difficulties and have signed a (24 month) O2 mobile phone contract a couple of months ago. They struggle with money, and understanding usage of phone contract credit so they called O2 and asked for a 'cap' to be put on the usage to ensure they did not go over what was allowed. O2 have refused and say they don't do this.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I am afraid the information O2 have provided is correct. They do not have a way of capping spending. You can call 202 to check allowances and balances. If this is not a feasible solution is there anyone in the family who would take over the contract and the person this is regarding could go back to PAYG?Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0

Three are the only major network who will allow a contract to be capped however they do state it should not be used as a budgeting tool0

Tesco mobile aren't a major network, but they do this without any reservations, at least for some contracts.0

Thank you for all the information.
Unfortunately the person lives in a 'supported' environment, so transferring the contract is not an option.0 -
