Fergie76 and fb1969, thanks for your help. Don't shop at Asda that often anyway. Lidl more our mark!!!! (No car park monitoring there either) Just had a thought,in our town, Morrison's have a camera spotting system, Waitrose have Britannia, (really annoys me that bloke, stands there and watches me park until I put my wife's Blue Badge up), Asda have TCP, as do our local community centre, would you believe. Local council have pay and display, but don't have any wardens, (can't afford 'em) so we're safer in the council car parks than almost anywhere else. Funny thing is, most people buy a ticket and stick to the rules.0

You paid, but you were 2 nanoseconds too late to qualify for the discounted period so you still owe them nothing.
Sue Asda for breaching the equalities act!0 -
Kite2010. It wasn't that, it was the fact that they are trying to charge me for a PCN I've never seen, but which is identical in every respect apart from the serial number to one I paid. Thanks to everyone on here for their support.0

Our Waitrose has Britannia as well, and a 2 hour parking limit. I park all afternoon and smirk at the hapless goon in the high-vis jacket from Britannia (it's a different employee every time I go there of course, as it's not a proper job!). Although I try really hard he has never 'ticketed' my car - I do shop in the Waitrose but I ignore the made-up maximum parking time as I believe that customer service should be (always was!) the main consideration for supermarkets and they need to learn not to victimise their paying customers. It's a large car park and if I want to take my time when shopping, and have some lunch or look in other shops too then I will.
BTW there are loads of threads on here too complaining about Lidl using a private comapny in most car parks. A lot of retailers have been talked into using them, believing that it's the answer to 'policing' their car parks. I did get one fake PCN 3 years ago in a Sainsburys car park from Euro Car Parks - and as a result of ignoring that scam I have come here most days ever since to help others do the same.
And you do not need a Blue Badge to use a disabled bay on private land, even if the signs and the PPC employee say you do. The law on disability provision allows any disabled person (who fits the Equality Act definition of disability) to park in a disabled bay on private land, Blue Badge or not. Oh, you will probably get a fake PCN if you try it - but so what when you know they are a scam based on threatening innocent, unsuspecting people. I am NOT condoning non-disabled people to do this, I NEVER condone that.
And after you actually fell for the scam once and PAID the scammers some money, for goodness sake PLEASE stop wasting recorded delivery over this con! Please stop taking the bait and believing they might be reasonable about it. Let them go through their well-known rigmarole of scary letters (preview pics are in our top thread 'PPC letters, what to expect' - you will see that Fergie76 has supplied the TCP/Whyte letter-chain).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
