Yesterday I bought two shirts priced at £20 each, reduced to £6.20 each
Thats nearly as cheap as Primark, for something of five times the quality!
Checkout that for moneysaving!! Everybody get yourself down there before everythings gone! (unless it was just a random one-off thing at my local store in which case it's probably not worth the petrol.
)
(oh... and I have enough points on my Costa card for 1 coffee, so another saving this weekend!)

I very much doubt it. BHS clothes are made in similar sweat shops to that of Primark. Those 8 year olds just have such nimble fingers.
Five times is almost certainly an exaggeration but BHS stuff is definitely higher quality than Primark.
Primark shoot themselves in the foot by shaving the last few pence off the price and skimping to such an extent that clothes can be virtually unwearable.
I used to buy their trousers for walking as they always wear out quickly if you walk many miles a day but I had to give up because of stupid problems such as the pockets being so shallow that things would fall out of them when you sat down. (And it was hard for even short armed people to avoid buying a round.)
Their latest customer alienation - for me - has come about because they have stopped sewing labels into their t-shirts (they print the details instead) so after a couple of washes it's much harder to tell the front from the back as they are almost, but not quite, symmetrical, front to back.
They save themselves fractions of a penny per garment but lose customers wholesale.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

The material of the two I bought seemed quite good. Much thicker than Primark. I usually buy shirts from primark and although I quite like them they are much thinner.
Not really sure what the quality of BHS is in general though so my only basis for comparison is two shirts.

My partner buys her work shoes from Primark. They cost about £3 each and because she works quite long hours in a restaurant they last about 3-4 weeks
I'm not sure if she bought a decent pair how long they would last, but she seems quite happy.0 -

I like that - mainly because my son hates labels in his t-shirts, and I have to pick out the stitching to remove the complete label otherwise he scratches like mad and removes the skin from his back! Bizarrely, he doesn't mind labels that are stitched in at the side of his clothes, just the ones at his neck.0 -
I got a £129 leather jacket for just £29 in a BHS sale a couple of years ago."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

I used to work at BHS 15years ago and their quality was dire then. It hasn't improved, lol. Quite why Wallis has chosen to sell in Bhs hasn't raised Bhs profile... just reduced Wallis's in my eyes. Cheap !!!!!! priced cheap to sell. the whole place looks like a jumble sale.0
