Back Boiler v. Combi Boiler

Hi we are currently living in a rental property, heating and hot water is through an old back boiler. We are looking at renting another property, which has a new (within last 5 years) combi boiler, and wondered how much our gas bills are likely to do down? Both properties are of a similar age, have the same insulation and are of a similar size.

Has anyone any ideas?

You gas consumption on a like for like basis may reduce by 10 -20%, however gas prices are about, or have risen by a similar amount, so the best you can hope for is no or a small increase in bills.

Sorry I'm in Jonah mode today.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • thanks. We are currently locked into a good fixed tarriff that's not due to end until next May, so hopefully that can come with us if we move! (though dreading what our bills will be when that ends!)
