hi there the family pc finally died on mondayand we have wanted a laptop for a while so we looked around at a few places online(via wii rrrr) and the best offer was at comet £299 for a packard bell and good specs for what we needed. so we went instore and was told it was a web only offer but i could ring and place the order which i did on thursday afternoon. I was given the option of having it delivered monday morning for around £6 or could have it sat between 7am -6pm for just over £10. I decided to have it sat and took the day off work. All day i waited thinking its gonna be here last minute, but nothing. I had tracked my order earlier which told me it was dispatched. At 7pm i rang customer services and in the end was told they shut at 6pm. Iwent onto the tracker again and it said it had not been verifiec as delivered to me and to ring them, giving me another number. I did this and was put through to same dept again. I tried to email them using thier website but it wouldnt work. I am waiting now till 10am when they open and i want to know could i ask for compo because i lost a days pay and another hopfully mon when they bring it. I have readthat if they are late delivering they will refund the delivery charge so what am i entitled too...im sorry for goin on a bit

You're probably entitled to your delivery cost back. Unless you sat in a corner and did nothing all day, I'm sure you will have gained some benefit from your day off, even if it was just some rest or a catch-up of This Morning. My farts hospitalize small children

Well i phoned comet as soon as it was open and the lady from cust services told me that parcel force should of delivered it and there site had no explanation she apologised on behalf of comet and said it should be here 2morow. I am going to be reemburst my del cost but it will be a check and take upto 28 days. I asked her if parcelforce do this regular and was told in about way yeah few times a week. She then gave me a tel no for complaints without being asked.0

They should refund your delivery, but are under no obligation to refund you any lost earnings, as you could have arranged delivery for a day when you were not working. Sometimes it seems like I'm the only person who arranges deliveries for days when I have a day off...Squirrel!If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

This Morning isn't on on SaturdaysOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
Tbh I doubt they have an obligation to refund delivery charge. Many companies give estimated delivery times and disclaim themself from late deliveries.
But it is good practice to do so.0
