Bridesmaid dresses - Advice please

Yeah I must say that different dresses in the same colour is easy when money is no object. It will be harder on a budget but I'm sure you will find a way to do it.

There are quite a lot of sellers on ebay that do BM dresses on a budget and some of them do different styles in the same colour but it is just finding one that is reliable/reputable.

Dont forget though that although I am recommending different styles THERE ARE styles out there that WILL flatter everyone (few and far between but they do exist)!! - good that you are thinking about it in plenty of time too so you can find them!!!

Perhaps an idea is to buy the same style for everybody (say a long strapless dress) but if needs be customise/alter the dress to flatter different shapes - you can make it shorter for some, add straps in the same material for those that might need the extra support. Even just adding an matching/contrasting accessory such as a flower or a wrap or a belt can make an outfit more flattering on someone.

i have the same problem. i have 4 bridesmaid and all different heights and sizes and various boob sizes!!

i have come across a dress on ebay which i think will suit everyone and flatter their figure! it is coming from china but i have seen a seller selling one but in a different colour and looks exactly like the picture. £40 including free delivery! i cant post the link or picture because i am at work

if you type in ebay/google 'one shoulder beaded bridesmaid dress' it will bring it up in their under images. all different colours are available. i'm not sure when to order them because i dont get married until april and people are saying they want to lose weight but because of the type of dress i dont think it will be too much of a problem.

my work has lifted the block for 10min woohoo

this is the seller and dress below. i have contacted them a few times as they have another (shorter) dress with the same colour blue violet but the other colour seem more cadbury purple which i am looking for. they have emailed me back within minutes and were very helpful about sending me a sample.

they are other sellers selling this dress i am sure - theres a few negative and neutral ont his seller but his reponses to this seem reasonable.

i would probably order one then the rest to see exactly how it was and if its wrong then least its not a huge loss. im going to order one end of sept i think,

i got my various sizes from ebay, ive got 5 aswell they were all brand new from BHS but heavily discounted at £22/dress! ive just checked the seller but they havent got anymore at all but it is possible
id advise that if you do want to get buying now buy them two sizes up to their normal size for the bigger ladies and a size larger for the others as they come up small, if they do lose weight they can be taken in but make sure the seller accepts returns incase its a big difference in size
i got a tea length strapless style that you can add straps too which seems to compliment each body shape

Try hiuyunkitty on ebay -she's a Chinese lady with a shop in Stratford Road Birmingham and she is supposedly good, but can take a while to deliver - we have 4 bridesmaids sizes 8 - 22 and we are going to use her to make 4 dresses in the same material to suit each one. Her prices are around £35 per dress

Hi Nicola, I was looking at those dresses early on in my planning & one of my BM's that I was bouncing ideas off at the time liked it soo much she asked if I would mind her ordering one ( in another colour) for a cruise that she had coming up. I was quite happy about that as it gave me a chance to see the fabric in the flesh!!! She was really pleased with it ( except that it looked mink on the (ebay) sellers site that she bought from & was Chocolate!). Luckily she was happy with the chocolate. It arrived much quicker than the delivery time stated too. I will ask her which seller it was & if she has any pics of her in it if it helps?? ( she loves weddings, so will most likely be glad to help out any brides to be! - she's making a great BM :-)) If another BM hadn't pointed out another dress to me, that ended up even cheaper & just as nice ( although no longer available otherwise I'd post links), those would have been my BM's dresses.
