My little girl wants a build a bear.

Is there any way of getting it cheaper, any discount codes or anything. She has been wanting one for years and I have managed to put her off but now she really would like one.

No I don't sorry, but my sister did get one for my niece, who has also wanted one for ages. She said the thing that cost the most money was all of the accessories and outfits, so maybe you should limit these.

I don't know how old your little girl is but last year we bought my friends son a set from costco which contained two small build a bears with everything you needed to make them yourself they also came with two outfits. It maybe a good way of making the enjoyment last a bit longer.I have not been to costco for a while so don't know if they still have them in.

Thanks will look into that, she wants the music in it as well. I did find one code but it runs out on the 22nd and I do not get paid until 25th
  • there are some of these bears on ebay - and lots more clothes to fit them, probably cheaper than new. Even if you get a 'naked' bear from a shop and dress them from ebay? could she save up pocket money to help? (don't know how old little one is)

  • My 7 year old wants one. I have told her "No", unless she asks her daddy. ;)

the cheapest bear instore is £9 - i think most people use BAB as a special treat, so for something like birthdays - although £9 isnt a break the bank price for a toy

i would def recommend going instore rather than buying online or getting a home kit (argos do a copy version) - half the fun of BAB is the creation process you go through in the shop - repeating rhymes, stuffing the bear, giving it a brush and creating its birth certificate

as already said, just go on ebay to find cheap clothes - or look in the sales for premature baby sized clothing as this fits quite well too (although doesnt have holes for tails)

They have an offer on at the moment where you buy one, get one half price, perhaps you could go with a friend with a child and split the difference? You'd save 25% :)
  • Argos do a similar one for £19.99. You choose from a few different bears / animals, a Outfit and a accessorie pack and it all comes with a certificate and passport in a nice box.

Saying above, my daughter made a hello kitty chococat & dressed it with a hoodie for £14 odd. Which isn't ridiculous, especially for a hello kitty one!

Thanks will look into all that, I was going to get it online but think I will take her into the shop.

My little girl is going to be 8 this time and has been wanting one since she was 6. She is not a spoilt child I just think a cheaper version would not be good enough for her if that makes sense. She would be happy getting what ever for her Birthday but I have just started work and she has had to adjust to this so want to get her something extra special for her birthday.
