Logitech M305 wireless mouse freezes Laptop

I have Logitech M305 wireless mouse which appears to sabotage my laptops. I have a old Acer Aspire (Windows XP) which frently blue-screens when booting up with the dongle fitted. I have also just bought two new HP Pavillion DV6 laptops (Windows 7) for my two daughters and, when the miniature wireless dongle is plug in, both of them refuse to boot up (they freeze up with a blank screen before showing any signs of booting up).

Has anybody come across a similar problem or could it be a one-off hardware problem with this dongle? When I used it with my Acer, (and it sucessfully boots up) it seems to work fine.
Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.

  • I haven't had any issues. I use an M305 on a Macbook and a Dell with Windows 7, my Dad uses one on XP and Windows 7, and my Mum uses one on an Acer Aspire One which runs Linux.

Might be worth returning it for a replacement to see if there is an issue with your particular mouse.

Sounds faulty, if you're after encouragement to have it replaced :)
