Decking oil or protector / seal

I have a 40m2 deck with a hot tub on it. It is about 5 years old and I have always used a seal on it, which usually contained some wax. On the whole, this has been OK. Last year I used Ronseal Decking seal which was awfull. I am thinking about using Liberon decking oil this year. Any advice would be welcomed.
The deck has been thoroughly cleaned and is calling out for some finish! I don't want to stain it, so would use a clear finish. The decking is grooved.

I purchased Ronseal deck oil for my deck summer 2011.After a couple of months it started to peel as if something had been scratching at the surface. It gradually got worse as the weather got colder.I have a large deck so it was an expensive job between oil and labour.Phoned Ronseal before the six month mark and was informed that the life expectancy of the oil was six months.Well i never even got three and i would never have purchased a product that only lasted six months.I told them it did not say that on the tin and still have the tin to prove this.Their reply was "this must have been a batch that was missed"!!!! They have messed me about until the start of this year 2013 and gave me a cheque for £240 to cover the oil but not for £700+ for labour and my deck will never look the same again as it has been unprotected for the last two years while i fought this!0

Hi Maddmitch, welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear about your experience with Ronseal. I used Liberon in the end. It was darker than I had hoped but it looked great, went on easily and lasted well over a year.0
