Hi,
I am a student and have just come into £70 000, and want to invest it for around 6 months - what's the best way to do it and maximize the return?

Hi,
Six months is way too short a time to invest money. Your best bet is to put it into a high-interest account.

Try the A&L internet savings account - gives you 5.35%It's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!0

Yep, i agree with CC. It would be mad to invest for 6 months. A savings account would be far more appropriate. There are enough posts recently suggesting some good accounts which could be considered.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

If it's for only 6 months, isn't the introductory 5.5% still available at Egg? No notice required to withdraw.
RMFor anyone wishing to contact me privately to ask me a question, can I ask that you email me directly as my PM box is often full.0 -
No, I believe the introductory 5.5% at egg has been withdrawn. It's always the grass that suffers, irrespective of whether the elephants are fighting or making love !!!0
