same here, if I get the one from Amazon then that'll the father in law.
I managed to bag one at PCWorld for myself earlier via a reservation I placed yesterday, the guys in store (Kingston) were pretty good and said I had to pay full price as it hadn't hit them yet but they do a price match for seven days after purchase so I should be able to get the difference refunded over the weekend.0 -
Thanks!
Ordered 2 from Amazon UK (already had them in basket,) but they are apparently OOS.
Guess we'll find out tomorrow!0 -
Just managed to order a 16GB TouchPad from Amazon for £89.
Received confirmation of order email.
Amazon caveat: Please note that for items ordered from Amazon.co.uk this e-mail is only an acknowledgement of receipt of your order and your contract to purchase these items is not complete until we send you an e-mail notifying you that the items have been dispatched to you.
Here's hoping. It's been a long day.
Hope others managed to purchase one - I'm now waiting for the "sorry about your order" email...
I'm off to Comet tomorrow to try and pick up a TouchPad I reserved earlier on Monday...0 -
Anyone who has not snagged one already should take a punt.
HP have made it known they have excess stocks of these and I doubt amazon would wait and drop the price at midnight without negotiating with HP for some of that stock at the low price point.0 -
Ordered 16GB from Amazon just after midnight. Saw it change to £89, grabbed it right away and got confirmation email, although still awaiting delivery date but at least better progress than elsewhere.0

"Amazon.co.uk is the trading name for Amazon EU SARL, Amazon Services Europe SARL and Amazon Media EU SARL. All three companies are subsidiaries of Amazon.com - the leading online retailer of products that inform, educate, entertain and inspire. The Amazon group also has online stores in the United States, Germany, France, Japan and Canada. Amazon.co.uk has its origins in an independent online store, Bookpages, which was established in 1996 and acquired by Amazon.com in early 1998."
From amazons website.
All ordering on amazon does now is put us in a queue/reservation, if they do not get new stock they can cancel the order, its only until a dispatch notice is sent then the order is concrete.0 -
Being registered in Luxembourg is beneficial for tax reasons I believe.0
