Best way to clean pushchair

Hi all,

I hope this is on the right board? If not could someone point me in the right direction?

We have a lovely travel system for our baby but it's big and bulky so have been given a lightweight stroller we can use to keep in car etc. It's not been used for a couple of years and has been kept in a shed so obviously needs a good clean. The fabric is all attached so can't remove to wash so will have to sponge clean it but not sure what to clean it with?

has anyone got any tips/advice on how best to wash down the fabric (I was actually thinking of shampoo mixed in water but not sure how I would be able to rinse it off?)

Thanks if you can help

PS Is it worth also posting this on the old style money saving board?

    Hi

I wouldn't recommend ordinary shampoo. Could foam up again out in the rain! :)

For my old pushchair, I used 1001 carpet and upholstery shampoo. Just follow the instructions on the back (basically work the mixture up into a foam and apply with a sponge). It cleaned my old pram up a treat and it smelled lovely afterwards. I left it to dry off in the back garden on a sunny day - although it wasn't actually that wet, just damp.

    It looked good as new.
