I got a ticket from Kensington and Chelsea for a suspended parking bay. I refused to pay. After they gave me the runaround I took them to PATAS. They withdrew at the last minute so I demanded some compensation for my wasted time preparing a case. I had to serve a summons but got twice what the £60 parking fine was plus my court fee.
I claimed based on the Financial Services Ombudsman website which suggests consumers should charge up to £10 an hour and not more than £100 per day for the time taken dealing with organisations.

Could you post the details of exactly what you did and the textual details of your court claim.
I suspect that many people would benefit as the actions of the council in your case is seen in many other cases.0
