I need some seasoned flour for a recipe I'm planning to make. I'm not sure what this is, where I can buy it or whether I can make my own.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Seasoned flour is just ordinary flour with salt and pepper added.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi,
I am no expert, but I am sure that this is ordinary flour which has had a sprinkling of salt and ground black pepper added.
That is what my DW uses to coat fish before frying - wonderful.

I season flour with different things depending on what i am doing, seasoned flour is indeed just flour with slat and pepper added, I dip chicken fillets in flour seasoned with all sorts of flavours, paprika, chilli,BBQ seasoning etc.

Season your flour with Turmeric to give the end result a fantastic golden colour, I do this with chicken and it's sooooo tasty0

If it's for flouring small items of food such as cubes of meat or fish ready for browning I put the flour in a sandwich bag, add the salt and pepper to taste. Then put the food in a few bits at a time, shake it up and it's a lot less messy and you just chuck the bag afterwards.0

What a great idea, thanks - I usually put the flour on a plate and turn the meat over and over in it but I make such a mess. Thanks.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

I do this too , it's so much easier and far less messy"Every time you feel yourself getting pulled into someone else's nonsense, tell yourself: Not my circus, not my monkeys." - Mark Borkowski.
