Just posting as I thought I best do as this is meant to be a diary! Just been a bit busy out every evening this week, not spending anything since Tuesday tho

Having a few wobbles with smoking - I gave up two and a half years ago because I couldn't afford to any more with trying to buy my house. I thought the cravings would go away but for some reason they are back with a vengence!
Hopefully going to get chance to go to the gym later - I fancy getting all buff and body builder like rather than the blobby mess I am now

Just realised that post sounds like I have been smoking - I haven't, I just REALLY want one! And I'm trying to cut back on eating which is what I replaced the fags with, hence my weight problem!0

Hi JC can so relate on the toiletries spend - I do that... In theory I am trying to work on it by being more aware of it but this week has been a monumental fail for me where that's concerned. On the old style board there is a grocery challenge which we could join... where you can say what your target is and they will give you suggestions for improving on that... They also have a storecupboard challenge thread where they will suggest meals using what you already have... If you are anything like me - you overbuy and then a few years later chuck stuff out as it is way out of date... Perhaps you are better than meAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Oh dear I haven't been doing very well at updating this

At the moment my storecupboard hasn't been around long enough to have out of date stuff in - but I'm murder for buying fresh stuff and having to eat nothing but or throw it out cos it's gone off! Bought a bag of carrots the other day and only ate a couple before they all went mouldy! Not happy with myself!
Already gone over what I budgetted this month cos I have had to fill up car twice  at least now it is full until late next month.
Other than that I have also spent more than I usually would on alcohol
not good for my purse or waistline!
Will try and think of something more interesting next time!

Ooo I have been very lazy this weekend! Spent most of the day at a friends drinking brews and helping her dog-sit a gorgeous little teacup terrier! At least it meant I nabbed an NSD but must learn to be more productive!
Got a nice surprise later when I went round to the family for tea. My brother has moved to London and no longer has use for his car, so it may be being passed on to me
My dad bought it, and like me he's a bit of a horder so would rather keep the car in the family than sell it - not very MSE but good news for me! My little Punto has been alright for a while but it really doesn't like winter so hopefully when I get this car it will mean the end of crossed finges every morning in the ice and cold!
And actually thinking about it my cars windscreen wipers are very temperamental and it does leak on my feet in the rain! I think I have just learnt to live with it's mood swings!
Just hope the change of insurance policy isn't too expensive

Evening to anyone who reads this

Well I've been trying my best to avoid spending! The cheque that I sent to a charity for my bike ride was banked this week so I'm well into my overdraft again! Other than that I just bought some milk bread and cold and flu stuff! Been feeling rubbish all week, haven't been to the gym since last Saturday
So NEW START TOMORROW! Back to the gym, back on the diet! Running very low on all food in the house but going to see how long I can stretch it out - OS board for me this week I think!
October is gonna be a nightmare money wise for me - as well as the two planned nights out, and weekend away I also have haircut, newly planned works night out, dads birthday pressie to buy, and car insurance to sort on the new car! Oh and still need work trousers - zip going on my best pair. And now jeans as another pair has developed holes in dodgy places!
If I end October in the same overdraft state as now rather than worse I will be very surprised

So new start today!
Small step forward in that I didn't go back for seconds at lunch
Strange combo today - rice and chickpeas, some chicken in deceptively spicy sauce, and randomly onion rings and potato croquettes! Just a small plate for me, even tho just knowing I am on a diet makes me hungry
Eating up stuff so beans on toast tonight after (hopefully) the gym!

Well I think I may this morning have had my long awaited "pay review"!
Basically - "you won't be getting a pay rise"
which is what I figured anyway, I don't seem to get jobs that do give pay increases!
What they are doing tho is paying for my college course which is a big weight off my shoulders as it is £400 that would have been taken at £100 a month that I just can't afford!
Now I know that I can get planning for up to Christmas (urgh that word!) on what my outgoings already are.
One thing that has changed after this review is that I don't have to work until 6pm on Thurs/Fri - my free nights. BUT I do have to work til 6pm Wednesday (shh I'm not on here honest) which is screwing up my hammer the gym idea as I will have to go from Mon thru to Thurs without a session!
Mustn't complain tho - I've had 7 NSDs in a row up until today :j
Back to work...

Slapping my own wrists!!! I'm soooo bad at updating! I think it's cos I find myself so boring :rotfl:
Diet and gym just not happening! Went to the gym last Thursday and tried to follow my friends personal training schedule (wish I could afford such luxuries as a personal trainer ). Anyway only ran on treadmill for 2 mins and my hip was killing. I don't know what I did as I sometimes do run a little anyway!
Because of that I ended up avoiding the gym until this Monday, it's still hurting now. Weighed myself also on the gym machine. I have lost 1lb in 2 months  rubbish. But it said I have shrank in height so I am now more overweight
crazy thing!
Anyway money stuff...
Bit of a spendy weekend. Had a 40% P£acocks voucher so went crazy on Saturday - work trousers, jeans, skirt, top, tights, bra, underwear, scarf, cardi - £61.50 (£41 saved
) couldn't really afford to buy so much but I desparately needed some new stuff.
Still avoiding food shopping - frozen food all the way at the mo! Even ran outta milk Monday so may have to give in and spend. Hoping to get a biggish shop done for around £30 - should be doable.

Hey anyone who's listening,
Well I honestly don't think I've actually had my LBM yet
I seem to be incapable of saving money, or trying to change my life in any way! Even small menial tasks seem impossible at the moment.
My budget is completely ruined this month - mainly due to car insurance increase for new car (plus carrying on insuring mine until we decide what to do with it) and extra petrol to drive to York and London which were not budgeted for.
I have felt rubbish due to hip pains, back pains, horrible cough - feel like an old woman and it's making me glum! Also meant I've not been to the gym in ages as I was scared of aggravating anything, even tho I really want to go.
So anyway for the sake of trying to act like I am still trying - I am now £720 overdrawn (will be around -£800 when I get paid), hoping November treats me better and I can end it £600 o/drawn.
Need to get outta this funk!
Hope everyone is well and fine and better at money saving than me
