you'd be better off pre-ordering with Asda for past 4 years they have always made FIFA £25 on release day, good thing is at the moment it SAYS that you are to pay £43 BUT when it's release day the price will drop and you will pay the price they are selling then not the price 1st stated, so if they drop it to £25 you don't have to worry about the money you wasted on pre-ordering. I don't pre-order only becuase it's always available, last year I had to do my shopping at Sainsbury's on day of release and as I spent £30 (or more) on shopping the price was dropped to £22!!!

Also another thing to bare in mind is that Asda do a trade in of games, most people are gonna wanna get rid of fifa 11 but most shops are gonna pay a couple of quid if your lucky BUT last year my mate got his fifa 11 from asda took his fifa 10 with him and they offered him £5 for it, so he got FIFA 11 for £20!!!!

Obviously the deal your saying about seems good but just poiting out that it may work out best to wait for release day.

I got £15 for Fifa 10 when trading it in at Asda last year but my local Asda isn't doing trade in's now, does anyone know what they are paying for Fifa 11 just now?

All it says on the Asda website is for trade-in prices to go instore :-( was hoping it would say, only place I know that tells you price online is CEX and there is no way I'm trading in there! my local Asda is doing trade in so will pop in on monday when I'm nearby next and will let you know (unless someone can find out beforehand
  • Went to ASDA today and asked them if the price will come down they dont know until next week 1-2 days before it's released asked them how much they'd offer for FIFA 11.... £2!!!!!!! even the woman who checked was shocked as she said ok the new one is out in just over a week BUT it's still a game that's not even a year old!!!! She seems to think if you wait about 2-3 weeks after FIFA 12 is out the price will go up again on it as most will have got FIFA 12 already
  • Folks

I traded in Fifa 11 at Argos yesterday, received £8 voucher to spend in store for the pleasure. Their games aren't the cheapest, so probably best keeping the voucher for some other purchase in their sales.

In the meantime, I'll probably wait to see what Asda plans for launch day of Fifa 12. Bought the game on their website last year to avoid the mad midnight queues!

Thanks for that tip I will be in town tomorrow where Argos is and will take my FIFA along to get a voucher, £8 towards christmas there :-)

As you said Asda usually have their price dropped, I'm not going to pre-order for 2 reason's I cant put money in my bank at mo so cant pre-order online and last year it was quite easy to get a copy and I didnt go until about 2-3pm

i will just get the Sun or something on the Thursday and see who is advertising it cheaper and go from there :-)

There is also a £5.00 off a £40.00 spend at Tesco in the Daily Mail today valid until 2/10, you could use this if Tesco has them near the £40.00 mark or you could add someting too it.
  • Asda are doing the special edition for £34.97.

It won't let me post the link though.
