Recieved a Parking Eye "Parking Charge Notice"

Hi all, this morning I received a "Parking Charge Notice" from Parking Eye, saying that I had parked somewhere for a whole 10 minutes longer than they state I should have.
After reading around my current intention is to ignore this, but I'm putting a thread on here to keep everyone updated.
The interesting thing is that I'm positive that I returned to the vehicle just in time, and that the time they're stating on the 'ticket' is the time I 'entered' the car park, not the time I actually parked, nor the time I left the vehicle, so I think it's criminal that they don't send picture evidence with their 'ticket', and speaks volumes about their practices.
Anyway, is ignoring this still the best option? I've read most of what's available on here and the watchdog video, but they're slightly dated now...

Has Ian Hislop started up a private parking company? I presume you mean Parking Eye. If so just ignore these clowns, you don't owe them a penny. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Oops. Edited. That's dyslexia for you.

Welcome to the Parking-Eye club! :rotfl:
Don't even go there re evidence. Photo's mean nothing, don't bother asking them for any, don't communicate. They'll go away after a predictable series of ever-increasingly "threatening" letters. Their aim is to get you to cough-up and they resort to shady "debt-collection" and "solicitor's" (coughs!) letters to try and sucker you into it.

They are cleverly constructed with slight errors, they know a lot of people are mugs who just can not resist having a go and cheeping back pointing out where they were wrong.
Then BINGO, they have a live bite and in the keep net you go.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
